Nice to Meet You

Originally from New Jersey, I moved to Texas to attend Rice University, where I studied creative writing with Amber Dermont and Justin Cronin and was a founding member of R2: The Rice Review. I have my MFA in Fiction from Texas State University and served as Nonfiction Editor of Front Porch Journal.

While living in Austin, Texas, I was program director for Austin Bat Cave (ABC), a nonprofit providing free writing programs to children and youth. I have held editing positions at Prufrock Press (now a Routledge imprint) and Round Table Companies, where I led book development for clients including Carolynn G.A. Brooks (former VP at Office Max) and Jeff Sinelli (founder and CEO of Which Wich).

My published work includes short fiction, book reviews, cultural criticism, and humor.

I currently live in Cary, North Carolina, with my husband and our three children.
